Dean Janosky's Alumni E-Newsletter: Health and Human Services Impact

Dear Alumni and Friends,

Think of your morning commute. Is it a complete street that
allows all forms of transportation to coexist—automobiles, public
transportation, bicycles and foot traffic?

Most drivers don’t consider that question as they drive to work,
but public health experts do. Public health is one of three new
programs the College of Education, Health, and Human
Services has introduced this fall in an effort to help UM-Dearborn graduates
confront major health care issues affecting metropolitan Detroit and beyond.

The new programs—a master’s degree in health information technology and bachelor’s degrees in community health education and public health—allow CEHHS students to think about health in a broader context.

Education in health and human services will be one of the ways we’re going to
make a significant impact on the metropolitan region. I encourage you to learn
more about our new programs here, and also catch up on exciting news within the
college in this month's CEHHS alumni e-newsletter.
